Most CNC shops hand your file to an operator who nests it and hits go. At PrecisionFab SA, your drawing is reviewed first by the person who owns the machine: an engineer with 35+ years across mechanical maintenance, plant engineering, and installation work, including 13 years as mechanical maintenance superintendent at a Stellenbosch fruit-packing and cold storage operation and site superintendent roles installing boiler and piping systems for breweries.
That background means your file gets checked for the same things a production line has to survive β tolerance stack-up, material behaviour under load, and whether a part will actually fit and function once it’s off the machine, not just look correct on screen.
What We Cut
- Custom mounting plates, brackets, and mechanical sub-assemblies β designed or reverse-engineered from a broken part, a sketch, or a supplied CAD file.
- Engineering plastics: HDPE, Nylon (PA6), Acrylic, Acetal (POM/Delrin), PTFE.

We’re a precision fabrication workshop, not a production-line panel plant. Our CNC setup is best suited to one-offs, prototype iterations, and short batch runs β the kind of work where an engineer looking closely at your file before it’s cut actually matters. If you need a single working prototype fast, or a repeatable run of 10 to 200 units, that’s exactly where we fit.

- Toolpath Records Kept on File: Once a part is proven, we keep the toolpath and material spec on record so a reorder is a repeat, not a redesign.
- Direct Engineering Feedback: If a design tweak would make a part stronger or cheaper to produce, you hear about it before we cut β directly from the person doing the work, not a sales layer.
